Pensavate che fossimo state inghiottite in un buco nero? O che con la bella stagione Alice non si dedicasse ai ferri?

Diciamo pure che la risposta ad entrambe le domande è “quasi si”!

Se consideriamo i luoghi di lavoro come dei grossi buchi neri che ci inglobano dal lunedì al venerdì (e tante volte non solo) beh allora togliamo pure il quasi! Quanto ai ferri, per l'ultima creazione, Alice li ha lasciati nella borsa da lavoro per sfoderare l'uncinetto...il mitico capitan uncino!

Here we go again!!!

Did you think that we were swallowed down in a black hole? Or did you think that Alice in summer didn't dedicate herself in knitting?

Let's say that the answers to both questions are “sort of”!

If we consider our places of work as huge black holes that englobe us from monday to friday (and many times not only) well we can change the “sort of” with a “yes”! For what concerne knitting, for the last creation, Alice has left her knitting needles in her kit bag to draw the crochet hooks...the legendary Captain Hook!

Perché l'uncinetto e non i ferri vi chiederete...Perché una nostra lettrice ci ha contattate e le ha commissionato una borsa...e che borsa! Queste le richieste:

• un tripudio di ROSA
• FIORI qua e là
• eee...il musetto di HELLO KITTY

You may ask yourselves why the crochet and not the knitting...because a reader of ours contacted us and she ordered a bag...and what a bag! These are the requests:

• A blaze of PINK
• FLOWERS all around
• aaand...the pretty little HELLO KITTY's face

Cosa ve ne pare?

Rosa è rosa, fiori ce ne sono ovunque e il musetto di Hello Kitty fa capolino nel centro della borsa!

Ah...nelle richieste ho dimenticato un dettaglio, la borsa doveva essere capiente, quindi è stato un lungo lavoro anche per le dimensioni!

Alla fine tutte soddisfatte! Alice per l'ottimo lavoro e la nostra amica ci ha scritto per dirci che è entusiasta, più bella di come se la immaginava!

What do you think about it?

Pink is pink, there are flowers everywhere and the little Hallo Kitty's face peeps out in the middle of the bag!

Ah...in the requests I forgot a detail, the bag must be capacious, so it was a hard work also for the dimension!

At last everyone was satisfied! Alice was satisfied for the great job and our friend has written to tell us that she was delighted, even better than what she expected!

Trattiamoci con i guanti - Let's handle with kid gloves

Ciao a tutti!
Rieccoci qua...stavolta però con una novità! Infatti parliamo di guanti, per la precisione di quelli senza dita, i cosiddetti fingerless!
Alice non si era mai cimentata in questo tipo di lavoro a maglia e l'inizio è stato un po' traumatico! Sostiene che il primissimo tentativo sarebbe stato perfetto per lui:

Here we are again...but this time we have something new! In fact we talk about gloves, to be more precise those without the fingers, the so called fingerless gloves!
Alice has never taken a stab at this type of knitting and the beginning has been a little bit traumatic! She claims that the really first attempt would have been perfect for him:

Ha fatto un po' come Penelope e alla fine il risultato è decisamente soddisfacente!
Di seguito trovate foto di due modelli diversi (sebbene siano dello stesso colore...l'amatissimo tortora)!

She acted a little bit like Penelope and at the end the result was definitely satisfying!

Questi guanti sono fantastici perché sono al passo con la tecnologia!!! Possiamo usare tranquillamente i nostri ultratecnologici cellulari touchscreen senza dover continuamente sfilare il guanto (oppure il solo pollice come faceva la sottoscritta)! Pure per guidare sono molto comodi!

These gloves are amazing because they are in step with technology!!! we can easily use our hyper technological touchscreen mobile phones without constantly take off the glove (or just the thumb as the subscriber did!) they are really comfortable even for driving!

Eheheh...guanti supertecnologici! - Ehehe...hyper technological gloves!

Guardate infine che bella abbinata berretto-guanti!!! Mancherebbe giusto giusto una sciarpina! ^_^

Siamo delle "teste calde" - We are “hotheads”

Come promesso ecco qua una bella sequenza di berretti sferruzzati dalla nostra Alice.

Il primo è molto simile a quello che vi avevamo già mostrato in precedenza (fotografato dalla soddisfatta proprietaria), mentre le altre sono nuove creazioni!

As promised here there is a fantastic sequence of berets knitted by our Alice.

We are pleased to announce you that, thanks to an environmental initiative supported by DoveConviene.it, from today our blog will be zero impact! Cool isn't it? For naturalists like us this is a wonderful thing!

L'iniziativa in questione si chiama "il mio blog è CO2 neutral" ed il suo funzionamento è molto semplice: il blogger dichiara la sua disponibilità ad abbattere l'impronta ecologica del proprio sito e DoveConviene.it, in collaborazione con iplantatree.org, provvederà a piantare un albero in zone soggette a processi di riforestazione.

This initiative is called “ my blog is CO2 neutral” and its working is very easy: the blogger declare his willingness to bring the website's ecological footprint down and DoveConviene.it in collaboration with iplantatree.org, will provide for the planting of a tree in areas subjected to reforestation processes.

L'effetto benefico di questa iniziativa è garantito. Ogni anno infatti un blog o un sito internet producono in media 3,6 kg di anidride carbonica, un albero invece è in grado di assorbirne ben 5 kg annui. La partecipazione da parte dei blogger è totalmente gratuita ed il modo di aderire è semplice ed intuitivo.

The beneficial effect of this initiative is guaranteed. Every year in fact a blog or a website produces an average of 3,6 kilos of carbon dioxide, instead a tree is able to absorb 5 kg of it every year. The blogger's involvement is totally free and the way of join is simple and intuitive.

Buongiorno a tutti voi! Siete infreddoliti? Se la risposta è sì vi capiamo! Nell'ultimo post avevamo preannunciato l'arrivo di gelo e neve...e puntuali sono arrivati!

Good morning everyone! Are you chilled? If the answer is yes we can understand you! In the last post we preannounced the coming of the freezing cold and the snow...and punctually they arrived!

Alice con questo tempo è al lavoro...beh...si diletta tra gli amici ferri e l'odiata pala! Eh si...58 centimetri di neve sono belli da vedere ma altrettanto pesanti da rimuovere! Speriamo che le sue manine fatate non si siano raffreddate troppo nell'impresa...a meno che fossero ben coperte! ^_^

Oh oh...mi sa che ho svelato la prossima creazione che apparirà presto sul blog! O.o

With this weather Alice is at work...well...she delights between the pleasant knitting needles and the hateful shovel! Yes...58 centimeters of snow are as nice to see as much heavy to remove! Hope that her fairy hands didn't frezzed too much in this operation...unless they were really well covered! ^_^

Oh oh...i think i revealed the next creation that will appear soon on this blog! O.o

Tempo da...berretto! - A time for...hat!

Quest'anno l'inverno rigido si sta facendo desiderare, ma per il weekend è previsto il grande freddo e forse anche qualche fiocco di neve! E allora corriamo ai ripari! E partiamo dalla testa con un meraviglioso berretto made by Alice!

This year the hard winter is playing hard to get, but for the weekend the big cold is expected and maybe also some snowflake. So batten down the hatches! Let's start from the head with a beautiful beret made by Alice!

Eccoci qua! Pronte a imbarcarci in questa nuova avventura!
Siamo Alice e Daniela, il braccio e la mente...e se pensi che ferri, uncinetto, maglia, punti e bottoni non siano semplicemente "affare da vecchia" allora sei nel posto giusto!
Questo blog sarà infatti una finestra per i lavori realizzati da Alice...poi chissà come evolverà? Non lo sappiamo nemmeno noi, scopriamolo insieme!! :-)

We are Alice and Daniela, the brawn and the brain....and if you think that knitting needles, crochet hook, stitches and buttons are not just “old lady's business” you are in the right place!
